Tuesday quiz night
Teams of up to six, £2 a head, and a bar tab for the winners. The picture round is famously unfair.

Cask ale, a log fire and good plain cooking. The Kestrel Inn has poured pints on the quay for over a century — pull up a stool.
The front bar · Saturday, 3.15pm
Four well-kept ales on the handpumps, a fire lit by four o'clock from October to April, and a kitchen that cooks what the boats bring in. Muddy boots, wet dogs and whole families are all welcome.
See the menusFrom the stools at the front bar to the picnic benches in the garden, there is a spot for a quiet half, a long lunch or a proper night of it.

“We came in out of the rain for one pint and stayed until they rang the bell. Best fish and chips on the coast.”

Our grandparents took the licence in 1961, and we still live upstairs. We pull the pints, cook the suppers and know which way the wind will turn. Book a table, plan a party or just come and say hello.
